Ram spare tire. My truck does have a full size spare, but it is a temporary tire, not a "real" tire. My '05 Ram had a real spare tire with the factory 20" rims. Sometime by the time the '10 came out, they changed the spare to a fake tire. So, has anyone with factory 20" rims swapped the temporary spare for a real tire and not had problems with the TPS system. I noticed that the spare was a Falcon 275/65/18 (32.1”) on a on steel rim, which is 1.1” smaller than my OEM DuraTrac 275/70/18 (33.2”). Why would Ram provide a smaller spare tire, especially on a truck that is equipped with an electronically locking rear differential?
