Subaru Forester 2017 Oil

I have a 2017 Subaru Forester . The owner’s manual calls for synthetic oil changes at 6000 miles which is well below what other manufacturers of modern cars require. Subaru has apparently fixed its ‘recent’ engine problems. So my question is: other than warranty issues, why can’t I run the Forester to 7500 miles before oil changes to save money since I am using the best synthetic oil. Zero oil consumption 375,000 miles later. For our 2016 Forester 2.5, we change the oil at 6,000 miles, with easy use, or annually. I have yet to determine what my 2019 Forester 2.5 oil change schedule will be. From my perspective, it depends on you exact engine, how and where you drive and what oil you will use. 2017 Forester oil burning issue I know I am not the only one with this particular issue: manual 2.5 Forester that has light oil come up between oil changes. I have done one oil consumption test when the first oil light went up at 2k miles on a brand new car, and of course it passed.
